Ice warning for motorcyclists after road accident in Hayle
A motorcyclist and his pillion passenger had to be taken to hospital after coming off their bike in Hayle.
Neither were thought to be seriously injured in the incident on Carnsew Road, which happened at around 9pm last night. No other vehicles were involved.
The rider was taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital suffering from road friction burns and his passenger with a hand injury.
Along with police, a fire crew from Camborne attended the scene and found a large fuel spill on the road. Sand was used to make the stretch safe.

"We do not know what caused the accident but it is timely to remind motorcyclists that they are particularly at risk in icy conditions," said Penzance Inspector Jean Phillips.
