Illogan in seventh heaven with big home victory
DOMINIC Pullen fired another hat-trick as leaders Illogan eased to a 7-1 home win over Hayle at Oxland Parc.
Pullen's treble took his season's tally to 14 with the rest of the goals being shared around with team-mates Rob Bray, Ashley Kemp, Tom Butt and Simon Ellis also getting on the scoresheet, while Andy James netted Hayle's solitary reply.
The victory sent Illogan five points clear of second placed Pendeen, who were involved in League Cup action, while St Day moved level on points with Pendeen after an impressive 8-0 home win over Mullion (see feature match).
St Day are now level with Illogan in the league's goalscoring stakes with 43.

Falmouth Town's alarming slump in form continued with a 3-0 defeat at in-form Goonhavern, whose goals came from Paul Robertson (two) and Marc Wilson.
The three points saw Goonhavern move up to ninth spot in the table, while Town slipped to fourth place, eight points behind leaders Illlogan and two points clear of fifth place St Ives, whose game at Penryn was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Perranwell continue to make steady progress up the table and they had few problems seeing off second from bottom Holmans with a 5-0 home victory. Rikki Smith and Matthew Lane helped themselves to a brace apiece for the Well, with Sean Preston also on target.
Ludgvan's recent improvement also continued as Gerens James scored both goals in the Hurlers' 2-0 home win over St Agnes. Lugdvan are now 12th in the table while Aggie slipped to eighth spot.
Elsewhere there were two drawn games with a late equaliser from John Bird rescuing a point for St Just in a 1-1 draw at Wendron, whose goal came from Ben Allen.
It was also honours even at the air base where RNAS Culdrose, with Jack Valentine and Stephen Hughes on the scoresheet played out a 2-2 draw with Porthleven, whose top scorer Gavin Perraton helped himself to another brace.
Pendeen Rovers successfully booked their place in the first round of the League Cup with a 4-0 home win over Newquay, with goals from Jamie Payne, Ashley Ellis, Luke May and an own goal.
