Extra patrols launched following shoplifting reports
AN INCREASE in shoplifting incidents has prompted police to step up patrols in Hayle.
In the latest thefts, a 5ft 8in man in his early thirties with dark hair and a beard took beer and spirits worth £127 from the Co-op on the afternoon of February 25.
A £52 bottle of Just Cavalli perfume was taken from Boots at the West Cornwall Shopping park on Friday by a white female believed to be in her forties. Sergeant Simon Dobson said: "Shoplifting is an ongoing issue."
Anyone with information should contact police by dialing 101 and quoting references AY-13-176 and AY-13-187.
