Inquest opens into death of fisherman
An inquest has been opened in to the death of fisherman Geoffrey Ingram, who died when his boat The Sarah Jayne sank off the South Devon coast earlier this month. Mr Ingram, 51, who was born in Topsham, was the owner and captain of the fishing vessel, which sank without warning off Berry Head on September 11. His body was recovered from the wreck on September 20. A post-mortem showed Mr Ingram, of Higher Marley Road, Exmouth, drowned. The inquest has been adjourned to a later date.
