Investigation after fire in block of flats
A joint police and fire investigation has been launched after fire broke out in a six-storey block of flats in Taunton. Three fire engines and the hydraulic platform from the town and an incident command unit from Wiveliscombe were sent to the property in Crescent Way just before midnight on Thursday. When firecrews arrived they found smoke spilling from a third floor flat and were unsure if anyone was still inside. However, all occupants were accounted and there were no injuries.
