Investigation launched after police car collision in Torquay
Two police officers and a family of four were treated in hospital after an apparent head-on collision between two cars in Devon.
All six occupants, including two young children, suffered minor injuries when a police vehicle collided with a Ford Mondeo in Torquay on Thursday afternoon.

Devon and Cornwall Police have launched an investigation into the incident, but said a separate inquiry by the Independent Police Complaints Commission was "extremely unlikely" given the injuries involved.
The Ford Focus patrol car, which police confirmed was not on an emergency call, struck the Mondeo at a five-way junction linking Walnut Road and Chestnut Avenue, near Torre Abbey.

An ambulance and an appliance from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service also attended, shortly after 4pm.
The six injured were taken to Torbay hospital, where they were treated for injuries caused by airbags and seat belts.
The 29-year-old male driver of the Mondeo, from Torquay, suffered a bruised wrist and "airbag injuries", though his female partner was relatively unharmed.
A six-year-old girl was kept in hospital overnight for observation with bruising while a five-year-old girl was treated for shock and minor injuries but released the same day.
A police spokesman said witnesses would be interviewed and CCTV scrutinised as part of a police investigation.
