No action over Asda Penryn's pharmacy "planning breach"
Cornwall Council's enforcement team has closed an investigation into an alleged breach of planning by Asda in Penryn, where a pharmacy has opened in the car park.
The store has a pharmacy licence, but was refused planning permission to remove a condition stopping it from opening a counter in the store because it was felt it would have a negative effect on the town centre by drawing shoppers away.

However last month a portable building was set up in the car park and has been operating since December 23.
The council received a number of complaints from people stating the store had breached planning by opening despite permission being refused - that application is currently the subject of an appeal.
