Jam gig will be precious
BRUCE FOXTON – former member of The Jam – brings his band From The Jam to The Public Rooms, Bodmin, on Saturday.
With the recent announcement that Bodmin Town Council intends to put the community hall up for sale from April 1 this event could be the last ever live music show to be held at the venue.
From The Jam gained an immediate reputation for the kind of incendiary performances that sealed the reputation of The Jam all those years ago and 2012 has been another very busy year for the band.
Bruce recently appeared alongside Paul Weller, for the first time in 28 years, to perform The Jam classics The Eton Rifles and The Butterfly Collector as well as Fast Car/Slow Traffic at the second of Weller's five-night residency at the Albert Hall. Subsequently, the two worked together on the sleeve notes of the 30th anniversary release of Sound Affects by The Jam.

Playing not just The Jam's hits but much-loved album tracks and B-sides, From The Jam have to be seen to be believed.
They will be supported in Bodmin by Land Of The Giants, a Plymouth band who mix dub, rock, indie, ska, funk and blues.
Also playing are A Day At The Races, a four-piece indie-pop band from Bristol.
Doors are 6pm till midnight, bands start at 7pm, bar £2.50 a pint, over-16s only.
Tickets priced £22.50 are available from Bored Skate Shack, St Austell, Quintessential, Truro, Hubbub, Bodmin and Ego Clothing, Wadebridge. Tickets are also available on the door before 10pm.
