John Lewis improves online buying services in west Cornwall
WEST CORNWALL residents will now be able to pick up John Lewis products from local convenience stores as the company looks to improve its coverage in the South West.
The upmarket retailer has started a trial to offer a collection service through CollectPlus, a parcel delivery operation that has over 5,000 newsagents, supermarkets and petrol stations on its network.
The farthest west point included is St Just’s Premier store.
Owner Michelle Burton said: “I was very pleased to hear that John Lewis is now offering a collection service in St Just.

“This has been a family-run business since 1906 and we’re well known in the local community for catering to all needs.
“Our customers use the CollectPlus service when buying their milk and newspapers - I’m now telling all our customers that they can choose to have online John Lewis purchases delivered to the store.”
The company said the move gives people more control of their time.
The South West is one of four key regions, and distribution will cost £3 for arrival the next day.
Sarah Ince, development manager at John Lewis, said: “The CollectPlus network provides us with a truly national reach and means that customers who may not necessarily live close to one of our shops can still collect their online order at their convenience.”
