Joining forces to make their own music

The group of 20 musicians took part in the morning-long workshop with the staff and tutors at dBs to create their own recordings.
Most played brass, drums, vocals, bass and strings, while a few with a different talent, beatboxing, were also able to hone their skills under expert tutelage.
Jonathan Perkins, lecturer at dBs Music, said: "It's been a thrill to work with such an incredibly talented group of young musicians. To lay down this standard of music in just a morning's work is incredible."

Staff at dBs guided the students through a few rehearsals and practice-runs before finally recording the complete version.
And staff and students from Humphry Davy were able to take a copy of their track home.
Humphry Davy music performance co-ordinator Dave Hamilton said: "The visit our music scholars made to dBs Music at Camborne was nothing short of incredible.
"The opportunity to work with music practitioners of the very highest standard on our doorstep was fantastic.
"Our students were free to use the extensive range of high quality equipment available at dBs to compose and record their own work.
"The end result was not only musically fulfilling but also a great hands-on experience of the music industry which is so valuable at this stage of their musical life."
