Jolly's CCL: Round-up of the weekend action
LUDGVAN'S Gerens James grabbed yet another hat trick as the league's top scorer helped his side to a 5-3 win over Redruth United in a thriller at Fairfield on Saturday.
Johnny Ludlam and Tom Patrick grabbed the Hurlers' other goals while James Leeson and Bill Beesley replied for United, but it wasn't enough.
Highflying St Just dropped points at home to Mullion as they were held to a 2-2 draw. Chris Curnow and John Bird were on target for the hosts while Alan Thomas and Rob Carey earned Mullion a point.
Danny Ford struck a hat-trick as St Day moved three points clear at the top after a 7-1 win at home to bottom side RNAS Culdrose. Mikey Davis (2), Martin Day and Shane Richards completed the rout, while Ben Earl got the visitors' consolation. Culdrose are still yet to win a game this season.

Falmouth Town moved in to second place seeing off Newquay 2-0. Aaron Taylor and Tom Richards were on target for a rejuvenated Town side who are looking a good outfit after a poor campaign last season.
Porthleven picked up a vital three points in an early season six pointer against fellow strugglers Goonhavern. Goals from Marcus Smith and James Greet were enough to cancel out Sam Waters strike and send the home side above their opponents.
Goalless draws are a rare commodity at this level, but there was one to savour this weekend as Falmouth Athletic and Hayle cancelled each other out.
Illogan RBL needed extra-time to seal their place in the next round of the Combination League Cup as they overcame a battling Troon side 4-3 at Grouter Park on Saturday.
Troon led 3-2 at half-time with goals from Ashley Wills, Rob Oldland and Richard Scott, only for Illogan to fightback with strikes from Jeb Martin, Dan Bowman and Jack Coleman before Luke Abbot-Smith scored the winner to send them through.
Another goal from Curtis Richards wasn't enough to prevent St Ives Town from a swift cup exit as they went down 3-1 at home to St Agnes. Duane Britton, Dan O'Toole and Mike Burn grabbed Aggie's goals at The Saltings.
Wendron also booked their place in the next round in emphatic style after a 4-1 home win over struggling Perranwell.
Goals from Luke Wort, Chris Mulroy, Jason Roberts and Chris Madeley cancelled out Chris Shackley's strike, as Paul Murray looks to regain the trophy he won with Falmouth Town two years ago.
League fixtures (Saturday, 3pm): Falmouth Ath v St Agnes; Falmouth Tn v Troon; Goonhavern v St Ives Tn; Hayle v Newquay; Perranwell v Porthleven; RNAS Culdrose v Penryn Ath.
