Kernow King to make London debut at St Piran's Day Celebration
The Kernow King is set to make his London debut at London's Celebration of Cornish Music and Culture on St. Piran's Day on Saturday 9th March at Rich Mix, Shoreditch.
A phenomenon in Cornwall with over 20,000 followers on Facebook with his hilarious videos of Cornish life attracting 100,000s of views on Youtube. The Kernow King's stand-up show takes a witty look at the people, the places, the food, the history and the traditions of our unique region. In his own words, "Geddon my bewties, if youm unfortunate enuff to not live in the Duchy, I'm comin up Lundun!"
Now in its fourth year, Kernow In The City returns to the Rich Mix Arts Centre, Shoreditch in 2013 for another night of Cornish music and culture to celebrate St. Piran's Day - Cornwall's national day. This year's line-up are all Cornish residents who regularly perform at venues and festivals throughout the region and some of whom are Cornish language speakers.

Louis Eliot is the former frontman of Rialto who scored three top 40 singles in the Britpop era. He now has an acclaimed solo career with his most recent album 'Kittow's Moor'attracting 4-star reviews from some of the most-respected music magazines.
Singer/songwriter Kezia is just 21 years old and has already won Best Female at the county's prestigious What's On Awards for two years running (2011 and 2012). She has played most of the region's major festivals and releases her debut EP this spring, produced by Muse producer John Cornfield.
Female-fronted post-grunge-rockers Honey will kick off the night with the visceral thrill of their dark energyand snarling vocals.
The bi-lingual (Cornish and English) compere for the evening will be Luke Stevens - one-half of comedy duo the Cornish Oafs who use the Cornish language in their act in order to give their comedy a unique edge and to educate audiences about this ancient language.
Proper Cornish pasties and fine ales from Truro-based Skinner's Brewery will be on sale at the event to make sure everyone gets a flavour of Kernow at its best.
