LIVE COVERAGE: Councillor Collin Brewer discusses disabled children row on radio
Cornwall Councillor Collin Brewer went on air this afternoon to discuss the row which has erupted over his comments about disabled children.
Mr Brewer, an independent Cornwall councillor for Wadebridge East, said disabled children cost the council too much money and "should be put down".

He made the comments to Disability Cornwall at County Hall when the group had an information stand at an event to allow councillors to meet equalities organisations and understand some of the issues they face.
The Independent councillor has now been removed from the Independent group with group leader John Wood saying that he had no hesitation in taking the move.

“Mr Brewer is clearly a very ignorant man, I would like to meet him and introduce him to my lovely 12 year old Downs Syndrome son.
He should be aware that his comments are being viewed all over the country and do your area a great disservice. I cannot listen to your radio show but can guess what is being said.
Brewer must be removed from all public posts immediately - apologies just will not do.
