Land's End Airport passengers still flying from Newquay
Passengers scheduled to fly to the Isles of Scilly from Land's End Airport are still departing from Newquay.
No planes have flown from Land's End since before Christmas due to a waterlogged runway.

Flights from Land's End Airport are currently leaving from Newquay
The airport is, after the closure of the Penzance heliport last year, the only surviving air link to the Isles of Scilly in west Cornwall.
It has been constantly plagued by waterlogging issues during the very wet end to 2012.

A spokesman for the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company said Skybus flights will return to Land's End as soon as conditions allow and the situation is being reviewed on a daily basis.
He said: "We are still using Newquay for the time being while we trial some new matting at Land's End and explore longer-term solutions.
"This does involve longer flights but we have structured our schedules to take account of this and we are evaluating conditions on a daily basis."
"Despite the adverse weather, including almost 50% more than the average rainfall at Land's End and 28 days of rain during December, we successfully transported all passengers and freight to and from the islands for both Christmas and New Year and our staff continue to go the extra mile for our customers."
Skybus will fly to Scilly six days a week in good weather.

“Surely it can't cost that much to have a proper runway at St Just it's not as if it's a very long runway.”

“Good to see Cornwall Council have found another way of screwing money out of people at Cornwall Airport. We regularly have to send freight to the islands by skybus, at present due to Lands end being closed this has to be taken to Newquay and dropped off at the departure gate. Today Cornwall Council have announced that they are getting rid of the 20 min dop off/pick up parking at Newquay and now if you are dropping something off you have to pay for parking!”
