Lanes closed on M5 after trailer overturns
Two lanes of the M5 at Cullompton were closed yesterday after a 4x4 vehicle and trailer overturned. Police were called to the southbound carriageway just before the Cullompton exit slip road at 9.37am yesterday. A Toyota 4x4 towing a trailer overturned, leaving lanes two and three blocked. Three fire crews, from Cullompton, Middlemoor and Tiverton, and the heavy rescue appliance from Middlemoor attended the scene between junctions 28 and 29. Firefighters found one man trapped, and used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the man from the vehicle.
