Leanne's voluntary work earns her a royal reward

A STUDENT from Torpoint Community College has been awarded the Princess Diana Award for dedicating hours of her time to voluntary work.

Leanne Andrews was presented with the award in London.

She carries out a range of voluntary work such as fundraising for aid charity LEPRA and children's charity Precious Lives, and giving up time to be a peer mentor to younger students at school.

She also supports local community groups such as The Lions and Torpoint Youth Project.
