Sad end to year
TRURO runner Annabel Gummow can't wait to see the back of 2012 and welcome in the new year.
The GB junior international suffered the latest in a series of unfortunate setbacks when she was forced to miss the trials for the European Cross Country Championships at the weekend. At her best the 19-year-old Truro College student would have breezed into the U20 women's team at Liverpool, but sadly she returned last week from a training camp in Kenya with a foot injury and decided to pull out.
She said: "It has been a very frustrating end to the year after a good start to 2012 but I am more determined and focussed than ever to get back."
