Liskeard 5, St Stephen 2
LISKEARD kept alive their slight hopes of avoiding relegation with a crucial victory against fellow strugglers St Stephen.
It was only the third league win of the season for Liskeard and their first since August, but it showed that Bradley Richardson's men are still doing their best in the battle for survival.
Richardson opened the scoring with an early goal only for Dale Truscott to level for St Stephen.
Liskeard took control with a couple of goals from Hussain Wafta, one from the penalty spot after a foul on Ed Bradshaw, and Tom Rapson made it 4-1 for the home side.
St Stephen were indebted to 16-year-old Jordan Willmott for a spirited performance and he went close on a couple of occasions before substitute Ross Turton added a second for St Stephen.
But Liskeard had the final word with Rapson's second goal of the day.
Man of the match: Jordan Willmott (St Stephen).
