​RUSSELL Hale is standing down from his role as manager of Liskeard Athletic's Cornish Guardian East Cornwall Premier League premier division team, the club announced on Thursday afternoon.

Hale joined the Blues last summer but the team have struggled all season, with only two wins in 16 league games. They are bottom of the table and on Saturday they crashed to a 7-3 defeat at Bodmin.

Liskeard are looking to appoint a replacement as soon as possible. Until an appointment is made, the club say Hale has agreed to continue in charge of the team.
