Sarah said: "I'm thrilled to be starting my career with Pirate FM. After finishing my MA at Falmouth it's exciting that I can stay in Cornwall and work for such a successful company. I grew up listening to the station and it still hasn't quite sunk in yet that I'm now part of the team."
Head of News Tristan Hunkin said: "Sarah joining the team means that a hundred percent of Pirate FM's journalists are either Cornish or trained in the Duchy, at Falmouth University.
"As a local employer, we think it's quite right that Pirate FM does our bit developing and investing in Cornish talent.
"At a time when others are withdrawing journalists from Cornwall or writing 'local' news from outside the Duchy we're proud to be investing in both our coverage and the county."
