Lorry driver's road death – man charged
A motorist has been charged in connection with a road crash which killed a 61-year-old man. Nigel Gutteridge, from Witheridge in Mid Devon, died after a collision involving a van in the Moorhayes area of Tiverton on April 10. Now Philip White, aged 51 and from Tiverton, has been charged with causing death by driving without due care and attention. He is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court on October 16. Mr Gutteridge had worked as a lorry driver at Pennywell Timber for 20 years.
