A DIAMOND-encrusted set of false teeth were found in Newquay's Seafront Travelodge – one of hundreds of bizarre items found in the chain's hotels across the country in 2012.

The list included a pair of breast implants found in Newcastle, a micro-pig called Percy in Glasgow, a bucket of live crabs in Brighton and a pantomime horse costume in Leeds. An original Harry Potter wand used in the films, worth more than £2,000, was found locked in a drawer at a Scunthorpe Travelodge room so the owner could come back and collect it.

"What's becoming evident after speaking to customers is that the pace of life has become so fast and we're so eager to get from A to B that priceless possessions are easily forgotten," said spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed.

More than 20,000 books were left in Travelodge rooms – 7,000 of them copies of sado-masochistic bestseller Fifty Shades Of Grey. Items unclaimed after three months were donated to Cancer Research UK charity shops.
