Man in 60s dies of heart attack on Vault Beach at Gorran Haven
A beach-goer in his 60s died of a heart attack at Gorran Haven yesterday.
Mevagissey and St Austell coastguard rescue teams and Fowey RNLI lifeboat were all deployed to Vault Beach at about 3.30pm to assist ambulance staff with a casualty.
A spokeswoman from the South West Ambulance Service Trust later confirmed: "A man in his 60s went into cardiac arrest and was beyond any help from us."
The incident is now being dealt with by Devon and Cornwall Police, who were unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
