Man, 92, dies after crashing motorcycle
A 92-year-old man from Cornwall died five days after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a sign post, police said. Frederick Pengilly, from Redruth, was riding his small Aprilia motorcycle in the town when the accident happened on September 11. Police said it appeared Mr Pengilly had lost control and left the road before colliding with a sign post on the A3047 outside Redruth School. He was able to speak to police officers before being taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske, Truro. However, he died of his injuries on September 16.
