Man arrested following Newquay stabbing
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault following a stabbing in Newquay last week.
The 57-year-old handed himself into the Newquay Police Station yesterday afternoon, where he remains in custody.
A man was left in a serious condition at around 1.25pm last Monday (December 3) after he was stabbed in the chest inside premises in the Mount Wise area.
The 48-year-old victim is believed to have staggered to Newquay Hospital where he received treatment before being airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

As a stab wound anywhere on the body can be fatal the charge should be attempted murder. Come on CPS get some guts and hope the courts have some too to hand down a suitable punishment instead of the usual slap on the wrist.”
