Man charged after Helston kidnapping
A 33 year old man has been charged with kidnap and burglary with intent to steal after a woman was threatened and forced to drive her car for half a mile in Helston last week. Andrew Stanton will appear at Truro Crown Court tomorrow.
The 45 year old woman from Porthleven was sitting in her silver Peugeot 307 which was parked to the side of the Spar shop when the man got in and forced her to drive away on Thursday afternoon.

She drove to Sainsbury's car park where she managed to stop the car, open her door and shout at the man to get out. He left the car park on foot towards the Sainsbury's roundabout.
A short time later a man was discovered in a property in Esmonde Road. He fled but was caught a short distance away and held until the police arrived and arrested him.
