A MAN has been charged with three counts of robbery, two counts of possession of a blade in a public place and one count of possession of class A drugs in connection with robberies in Redruth

Tony Salisbury, aged 30, from Camborne has been charged with is due in Truro Magistrates Court today.

Police in Redruth are investigating three knifepoint robberies in the town over a week.

The latest robbery occurred at just after 8pm on Monday at the Spar shop, Fore Street, in Pool near Redruth.

The offender entered the store and threatened the shop assistant with a stanley knife before making off with a quantity of cash from the till.

In the other two incidents at the Iceland store and the CO-OP store, both in Redruth the offender made off with cash from the till after threatening the assistant.
