Man charged with murder of pensioner
Police have charged a 52-year-old Plymouth man with the murder of 76-year-old Michael Brincat of Marlborough House, Granby Way, Devonport. Brian Anthony Short was remanded in police custody and will appear at Plymouth Magistrates' Court today. The body of Michael Brincat, 76, known to locals as 'Maltese Mike', was discovered inside his Devonport flat last Wednesday. Police said he may have been asphyxiated.
