Man found dead at foot of multi-storey
Torquay's main car park was closed yesterday after a man was found dead in the street below. Paramedics said the man, thought to be in his 30s, was found dead in Temperance Street, underneath the Lower Union Lane multi-storey car park, at 10.50am. Police closed the car park and officers were still at the scene at 1pm. At the same time, firefighters were dealing with a motorcycle on fire in the nearby Union Square car park, bringing traffic in the town to a standstill.
