Man dies after fall from high building in Paignton
A man is understood to have died after falling from a tall building in Paignton on Sunday morning.
The man, who has been named locally as Dave Alden, aged in his forties, was taken to Torbay Hospital after falling from a building in Church Street at around 5.37am.
A police spokesman said following the incident it appeared Mr Alden had tried to climb through a window to help someone get in to a property they had been locked out of but fell.
The road was closed off for most of the day, but he is understood to have died during the day on Sunday.
