FOUR men from Redruth were committed for trial at Truro Crown Court on October 12 charged with assaulting Ryan Sheer on March 24 causing him actual bodily harm and with affray.

No pleas were entered at Truro Magistrates' Court by Nathan Gilbert, 30, Ryan Gilbert, 28, and Daniel Simmonds, 27, all of addresses in Close Hill, Redruth, and Jamie Orchard, 19, of South Carnmarth, Redruth.

Bail was agreed with a condition that the defendants do not enter Rose Cottage Tavern, Redruth, or contact three named men.
