Man killed in A30 accident near Redruth
A man was killed after being struck by a car as he walked along the A30 near Redruth in the early hours of this morning.
The incident took place as the man walked along the eastbound carriageway at around 12.30am.
A police spokesman said: "A man, walking along the east bound carriageway, was killed after being struck by motor vehicle travelling in the same direction.
"The A30 was closed in both directions to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.

"The west bound carriageway has been re-opened but the east bound carriageway between Avers and Tolvaddon remains closed for police investigation.
"The deceased’s next of kin have been informed. No further details will be released at this time."
