Man needed hospital treatment after St Austell attack

A MAN was taken to hospital and a cash machine damaged following an assault in St Austell town centre.

The incident took place outside the Wetherspoon's  Rann Wartha pub, Biddicks Court, at approximately 8.10pm on Friday, February 22.

Luckily the 57-year-old victim escaped relatively unscathed. The man was treated at hospital for a cut to the ear and he also sustained grazes and bruises.

Police are keen to speak to the people who raised the alarm about the attack and any other witnesses that were on Biddicks Court at the time.
