Man in Plymouth quizzed over armed robbery

A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged armed robbery at a petrol station in Cornwall.

On Monday night a masked man walked into the Shell garage just off the A30 at Fraddon, near Newquay.

Police said staff the man threatened staff with what appeared to be a handgun before running away from the scene with a haul of scratch cards.

A search for the man was launched with armed police and the force helicopter.

Yesterday a man was arrested by officers in the Plymouth area and was due to be taken to Newquay for questioning by detectives.
