Man sought to get restraining order discharged
PROBLEMS over recovering some work tools from the home of a woman who was the alleged victim of an assault by him last year led to the appearance of a man before Truro magistrates.
Darren Ray Johnson, 53, of Cliff Road, Perranporth, asked if the court restraining order made against him in December could be discharged, because he was having difficulty collecting his possessions from the alleged victim, Susan Laity.
The court heard Johnson had been acquitted of an offence of assaulting Ms Laity and made the subject of a restraining order preventing him from contacting her until further order. Ms Laity had said she was anxious that the order should continue.
The case was adjourned to November 5.
