Man swore at partner and attacked car
A CAMBORNE man has been fined for swearing at his partner in a supermarket car park.
Jason Willis, 28, of Wheal Gerry, was being driven on May 31 by his partner Kelly Marie Godliman when he became abusive.
At Truro Crown Court on Thursday, Ramsay Quaife, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said the argument led her to stop the car at Tesco Extra in Pool.
He said: "He got out of the car, punched and kicked the car and used foul language."
Mr Quaife said Willis was arrested that afternoon and gave police a prepared statement denying the incident had happened, but at Truro Magistrates' Court he later admitted the offence.
The case was sent to the higher court for sentencing because it put Willis in breach of a suspended sentence imposed on him in 2011 for dangerous driving.
Terry Eastwood, for the defence, said Willis had been prevented from living with Ms Godliman since the incident because of bail conditions.
He was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs.
