Marazion's Festival of Sport to return
THE organisers of Marazion's first Festival of Sport have vowed to return next year.
Competitors can already sign up for the 2013 sporting challenge brought by Human Race.
Marketing manager Dan Lipman said: "The event from our perspective was a complete success. It was as good as it could have been for a year one event."
Human Race have been planning the inaugural festival for a number of years with the help of the local community including the St Aubyn Estate and the town council.

The target number of participants was 1500 – a figure which was well exceeded with 2000 athletes taking part in the core sports.
Mr Lipman said they hoped next year's event would be bigger and better.
He said: "The format will be very similar but we will be running feedback and surveys with everyone that came over the weekend to see if we can add elements."
Possible plans for next year could include a children's disco and Paralympic activities.
"We really want it to be a festival for all," said Mr Lipman.
Next year's festival will be held from September 20 to 22. For more information or to sign up for an event, go to www.festivalofsport.net.
