Mark, 14, wins Charlestown a brand new kit
A YOUNG footballer has won Charlestown United a brand new football kit after winning a nationwide competition promoted on Sky's early morning show Soccer Am.
Fourteen-year-old Penrice pupil Mark Ingram was watching the Sky Sports show earlier this year when it promoted Host Your Kit, a competition organised by UK cloud computing company iomart Hosting to help youth football teams struggling to find sponsorship.
Teams had to explain via email or video why they deserved a new kit. The best entries won a new adidas strip.
Mark's entry explained how Charlestown United's Under 14s team had only ever had hand-me-down kits and this season they'd been told there was still no money for a new kit.

Mark told the Cornish Guardian: "Our coach Andy has been with us since we were seven years old and we didn't want him to have to go out and fund raise.
"I thought if I could win us a kit it would show him how much we like and respect him and it would be our way of thanking him for all his efforts and hard work."
Coach Andy Fugler was rewarded when Mark's entry won and the team played their first friendly in their new kit.
Andy said: "It was a fantastic thing for Mark to do. They're a great bunch of lads who I've been proud to watch develop over many years. The new kit looks absolutely fantastic."
Charlestown United were the only winners of Host Your Kit to come from Cornwall.
Jane Robertson, PR and marketing manager for iomart Hosting, said: "As a leading cloud computing company we host the data and web applications for businesses across the UK and we're also passionate about sport.
"The judges were really impressed with the reasons behind Mark's competition entry. We wish Mark, Andy and the team all the best for the new season."
Mark's mum Clare Ingram said: "When Mark heard about Host Your Kit and said he wanted to enter to help the coach out, I thought it was a great idea.
"I'm really proud of him and actually winning the kit is the icing on the cake."
