Martin leads the way at closing ceremony
Coldplay helped bring the London 2012 Paralympics to an end with a bang last night at the Closing Ceremony.
Some 80,000 spectators had tickets for the extravaganza in the Olympic Stadium, to bring down the curtain on 12 days of thrilling sporting action.

Millions more watched the show on television as footage was beamed across the globe.
Coldplay, headed by Exeter-born frontman Chris Martin, took centre stage with what organisers described as an 'unusual setlist' and were said to have been paid £1 for the honour of providing the musical backbone of the ceremony, with a set designed to respresent the seasons of the year.

A new orchestra comprising 17 performers with disabilities were among the acts playing. Representatives from the armed forces charity Help for Heroes were also involved in the unveiling of a giant Union flag.
Several British Paralympians who competed in the Games are current or former military personnel who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
