Mawnan's craft fair is a record-breaking effort
IT was a record year at Mawnan's annual craft market.
Organisers were shocked that the event at the Memorial Hall, now in its 35th year, grossed £19,500.
That beat the record set in 2011 by around £1,000.
Hall committee member Ian Newman said: "We are absolutely delighted. It was a record show by a long way."

More than 50 exhibitors from Cornwall had stalls selling woodwork, paintings, art, crafts, jewellery and bags.
For the hall committee, the event is its biggest fundraiser and they receive a percentage of the sales, around £5,000.
This will go towards maintenance of the building, which has just had its roof replaced and its next project is to upgrade the main hall floor and to decorate the building.
