Mercedes charity box is stolen
A CHARITY box raising money in memory of a Crowlas woman who died of cervical cancer has been stolen.
The Mercedes Curnow Foundation fundraising tin was taken from Herbies fish and chip shop in Penzance on Monday evening.
Around £30 was believed to have been in the box when it was stolen from the shop counter.
"I was absolutely gutted when I realised it had gone," said Steve Herbert, who runs the business with wife Nicola.

“I have to agree these bits of primeval slime should be placed in stocks and pelted with rotten fruit. I thought that even slime had a form of reverence. I hope the paper tracks this and when caught plaster there faces all over the cover.”
