Military Wives choir go La La for charity concert
One of the stars of hit BBC series The Choir will be directing the Military Wives at a concert to raise money for a charity close to her heart.
Sam Abrahams, 40, will be directing the wives choir of Chivenor and Lympstone, who featured in the series, as well as the La La Choirs, at a gala concert at The Great Hall at Exeter University.
All proceeds will be donated to the national charity, Rethink Mental Illness.
The La La Choirs, created by the singer in Lympstone in 2008, now have over 250 members and includes community choirs from Exmouth, Exeter, Ottery St Mary and Plymouth.

Last year, Ms Abraham directed one of the Military Wives choirs in the hit TV series with Gareth Malone.
Ms Abraham received support from the charity for her bipolar disorder for several months.
She said: "I was going through a difficult time and the charity's staff in Exmouth were extremely supportive.
"I'd meet with them regularly and it was wonderful to know that I had someone who would listen to me non-judgementally and help me figure out how to manage my condition.
"We worked together for six months and my mental health improved a lot.
"I wanted to say thank you to Rethink Mental Illness so decided that the proceeds of the concert will go to the charity."
The concert will be held on Saturday October 27 at 7.30pm in the University of Exeter's Great Hall.
Tickets can be purchased at www.lalachoirs.co.uk.
The next Military Wives album, which will feature Lympstone Military Wives, will be release on November 5.
