Hannah said: "I thought it would be a fun experience which, at the same time, raises money for several worthy children's charities."
The winner of Miss Cornwall will go on to the Miss England finals, in turn part of the Miss World organisation which has raised more than £250 million for children's charities.
Hannah said: "To this day, the Miss World organisation is the only international contest to have adopted such a theme, so I feel proud to be raising money for such worthy causes."
The teenager, who plays senior netball for St Agnes, has completed her RNLI beach lifesaving qualification and will be taking part in a sponsored skydive later this month at Perranporth.
She said: "For just £2 you can enter a prize draw to win either a day out in a chauffeur-driven Ferrari, courtesy of Vintage Road Classics Ltd, a full set of nail extensions from Illusions hair, nails and beauty in Blackwater or a photoshoot and limited print by Jade B Photography.
"The Ferrari and a 1951 Armstrong-Siddeley Whitley will be on the piazza with me all day and I hope to raise loads of money."

“Yes, that's right Sandyshaw. There are quite a few of us that are currently 16, so I presume, like me, they turn 17 before the miss world final in December :)”

“Thanks for your comments beachland and chuckjaeger. I entered the competition for two reasons: To have fun and to raise money for those less fortunate than myself and I am certainly doing both. The days when beauty pageants consisted of bikini-clad bimboes are long gone. The judging critera for Miss Cornwall is varied and incudes personality and confidence as well as the obvious 'aesthetics'. My next fundraiser is a skydive which is something I've always wanted to do! If anyone fancies sponsoring me, I've set up a just giving page which can be accessed via: https://http://tinyurl.com/4t993”

“She can still enter it for fun and even not care about the 'aesthetics', I see it as business.
But we are visual beings. Beauty is highly significant in life. And obviously evolved to be such over many thousands of years to guide us to healthy sexual partners. As it evolves over many thousands of years in the future who knows what we will (want to) look like, but I think we will still judge a lot with our eyes. It's the most efficient thing to do, it just takes a quick glance to make many assumptions concious and sub-concious, it's information rich.”

“A Miss Cornwall pageant in 2012?
I think it's such a shame that an obviously intelligent, entrepreneurial and taleted individual such as Hannah would enter a competition where the overiding criteria for judgement is that of aesthetics.”

“These competitions made a big private profit from the cost of the voting system.
So it's good votes have not been asked for directly.
If you do well at this final I suggest applying to be on the next Junior Apprentice with Lord Sugar, it's quite entrepreneurial. You seem to have that proactive element. You also get to be on TV.
And I get good entertaining television.”
