Missing 90-year-old found close to Camel Trail
A 90 year-old man who went missing for almost 24 hours has been found safe and well in a field close to the Camel Trail, between Wadebridge and Padstow.

The elderly man was reported missing at 2pm yesterday and an extensive search was carried out along the trail by police, the RNLI and members of Cornwall Search and Rescue.
He was found at 10.50am this morning by Police dog Eddie and his handler, Police Constable Colin Harper and was transferred to the Royal Cornwall Hospital for a check up.

The search was hampered by poor weather conditions which prevented the use of both the police helicopter and the navy search and rescue helicopter.
Constable Harper said: “after searching a couple of fields [Police dog] Edie detected a scent of something.
“Edie ran into another field, and lying near a boundary hedge was the missing man.
“He was cold, wet and confused but thankfully alive and in not too bad a shape given the fact he had not been seen for 21hours and had been out all night in the poor weather. With the aid of the Coastguard he was taken to an awaiting ambulance and taken to Hospital.”
