Mission has a new head
AN IT and business consultant has been appointed as the new head of the national Fishermen's Mission charity.
Jill Henderson, who has been actively involved in the mission's work for several years, replaces long-serving chairman David Harris.
Henderson, who is from Scrabster in Scotland, has been a consultant for the past 25 years, working with several clients in the fishing industry.
The business has taken her to most ports in north and north-east Scotland and involved her in the substantial structural changes in the industry over recent years.

"I have the greatest admiration for the dedication and commitment of all the mission staff working around our coasts," she said.
"The Fishermen's Mission is continually aware of the need to adapt to the requirements of a fast-changing industry while retaining its core function of caring for fishermen and their families.
"I very much look forward to being part of this challenge."
