Mother and children injured in 3-car crash
A mother and her children were taken to hospital following a three-car crash between Barnstaple and Ilfracombe. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene on the B3230 at Shirwell Cross in Muddiford after a Vauxhall Tigra, Nissan Micra and a Volvo collided just after 4pm on Monday. The woman driving the Volvo suffered minor injuries, as did her children who were in the vehicle. The front seat passenger of the Micra, a 56-year-old man, suffered chest injuries and was also taken to hospital by ambulance.
