Mother and children trapped in lift in Truro
A woman and her two young children were trapped in a lift in the centre of Truro.
The mother and children became stuck between two floors in the lift at Truro Community Library after a power cut.
Staff stayed in touch with the woman throughout the ordeal.
Firefighters from Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene just before 10am yesterday and managed to free the family, who were trapped for 20 minutes.

“More like 40 mins from beginning to end and 'no history of incidents' with the lift in the past?! Well, that's only because it is normally out of order and I have to carry my two little ones up the 4 flights of stairs to Monkey Music. Oh well, fame at last!”
