Motorists injured in three-car pile-up
Two elderly motorists were injured and one vehicle burst into flames after a pile-up in North Devon. Three vehicles were involved in a collision on the A377 at Chapelton Cross, near Barnstaple, yesterday. Police were called to the scene just after 4pm and discovered one vehicle was on fire but that the occupants had escaped safely. Officers also confirmed that two elderly occupants of one of the other vehicles were injured but not trapped. An ambulance and the fire service also attended the incident.
