Two drivers were cut free from the wreckage of their cars after a collision in Plymouth yesterday. Police, fire crews and ambulance staff were called to Crownhill Road, outside the fire station, just before 1pm. The male driver of a dark red Ford Ka suffered head, back and neck injuries and a woman in a silver Rover 25 suffered head injuries in the smash. Five police cars were at the scene along with firefighters and two ambulance crews. A team of electrical engineers from Southern Electric was also dealing with a damaged lamppost where the accident happened.
