The Mount echoes to the sounds of Czech voices
ANGELIC voices could be heard singing out from one of west Cornwall's most iconic locations last week.
The sixth biennial Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival began with the young members of the Czech Boys' Choir, dressed in full regalia, performing at St Michael's Mount.
A total of 3,000 singers in 60 choirs performed at 40 venues across the county. Another local site given a choral treat was Wharfside Shopping Centre, Penzance.
"We ran a Boys on a Bus project with two children's choirs starting at opposite ends of the county giving small performances along the way until eventually meeting up at the Hall for Cornwall to perform as part of the festival," said a spokesperson for the musical troupe.
